Story Thru the Bible: An Interactive Way to Connect with God's Word (Review)

Story Thru the Bible: An Interactive Way to Connect with God's Word (Navpress Devotional Readers) is a fairly short book designed as a handy guide to help people "story" through the Bible from "Creation to Christ", or, in this case to the Book of Acts!

Produced by "Walk Thru The Bible" and printed by NavPress, it has 52 chapters. Each chapter covers a major episode in scripture. It allows users to set up the story for the listeners, provide basic background, tell the story, and then lead a discussion and application of the story. A leader's summary section concludes the book.

This publication grew out of the work of the International Orality Network and the interest in Bible Storytelling not only worldwide but also for use in the United States as more people prefer to learn "orally" by listening than by reading.

This handy work will make Bible Storytelling accessible for many small group/Sunday School leaders who otherwise might not feel able to participate.

As the book suggests, the story telling format allows those unfamiliar with teaching a traditional Sunday School lesson to participate more easily in this form of communication.

It's well worth checking out as a resource for people wanting basic bible stories in one handy book.
