I was telling T. M. Moore about the possibility my church has of working with some folks from the local jail by way of a bible study.
He let me have access to a curriculum he'd penned for Prison Fellowship.
What made it unique was that it focused on Bible Stories about people in prison and how God "redeemed the time".
Can you think of a few?
It starts with Joseph (of course) and moves to the nation of Israel in bondage before moving through the Bible.
The course titled "missionaries in bonds" is a great overview of the narratives portions of the Bible that teach us how God can redeem even our "slavery" though we don't tend to think so while we're "stuck" in such a situation!

The Voice of the Martyrs has a great book called "Extreme Devotion," which highlights persecuted believers throughout the ages. You might find some encouraging stories in here.
