Story Telling In A Coffee Bar

In Portugal, there's not much patience with Gospel tracts, evangelistic "presentations" like "Evangecube", and slick sales presentations that go under the name of "evangelism".

So they're having to resort to actually talking to people in Coffee Bars. It sometimes takes 68 such conversations before people join the church the article goes on to state. I'll wager they at least know what they're doing when they join instead of just "saying a prayer" to get rid of a pesky "evangelist" though!

The story reminded me of another Bible Story teller I heard about. This Bible Story Teller went to the local coffee house and asked the manager if they could have a "story night"... sort of like they have a "live music" night later in the week. He said "Sure" so now this Bible Story Teller tells a bible story weekly and then chats with the people afterwards. Another aspiring author reads the latest pages from his novel.

This type of Bible-Story-To-Open-Doors strategy is popping more frequently.

Let's see how we can use it...
