How To Internalize A Bible Story

Here's how to internalize a Bible Story

Some people think it would be "impossible" memorize John 11:1 - 44, the Story of Lazarus, because we're used to trying to memorize scripture a verse at a time.

Jack Day suggests these things...

1. Multiple reading of the story in multiple versions
2. Analyzing the story, i.e. outlining it, noticing repeated words, phrases, etc.
3. Drawing stick figures to depict the action
4. Pantomiming the story without words (for yourself)

I especially like reading the story out loud in multiple translations multiple times.

Telling the story to different audiences and practicing it yourself is very helpful as well.

You'll find what works best for your to internalize the story with practice.
